I can't say enough how much I love my grandma. Grandma Annie Pearl Franklin. I LOVE her. I adore her. She is, by far, one of my favorite people on the planet. She lives in Oklahoma City and I live in Siloam Springs, Arkansas so we don't get a lot of quality time together. This weekend we made an impromptu trip to visit. Our conversations included my father (who died several years ago), my brother (who died several years ago), my kids, my education, being married to a white man, memories of her childhood, and all sorts of inappropriate jokes. She let me know that Tobias will be liar because he has gapped teeth.
She let me know that his color will eventually come in because, "that child is BLACK, girl, we just gotta wait for his color to catch up."
She told me Isaiah looked like my brother, "I would swear Isaiah (my brother) marked that boy (my son)."
She laughed at Addison, "Oooooh child! That girl is gonna be a handful, she has only half your sassy ass mouth and she is two. I can't imagine what will happen at 15!"
She is a jewel.
