We love hot drinks around here. We ESPECIALLY love Apple Cider during the holiday months. The other day we decided that we wanted cider and we wanted to make our own. So Here is our quick and easy recipe:
- 10 apples, quartered
- 3/4 cup Demerara sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon ground allspice
- Cheesecloth for straining the spices off the cider
Boil all ingredients together for an hour. After the cider is done strain off the spices and SERVE.
Quick and easy!
After we were done making our cider we had all these delicious apples leftover. We decided to puree them and the kiddos enjoyed some delicious and simple apple sauce.
